Junior Technical Writer (An/Byg Or Naval Experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Navy programs, specifically AN/BYG systems, or similar defense-related projects. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and project teams to create clear and accurate technical documentation that supports mission-critical operations. This is a 3 month contract to hire.
\n Responsibilities: Develop, edit, and maintain technical manuals, user guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documentation for Navy programs, including AN/BYG systems.Gather and analyze technical information from various sources, including engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders.Translate complex technical data into user-friendly, clear, and concise documentation tailored to Navy personnel and contractors.Ensure compliance with Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) standards, such as MIL-STD and related documentation guidelines.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate representation of systems and workflows.Participate in reviews of draft and final deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.Maintain and update documentation as systems and processes evolve.Manage version control and configuration management of documentation repositories.
