Position: General Manager As a General Manager for Karl's Country Market and gas station, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our operation. Your responsibilities will encompass sales, customer service, inventory management, staff supervision, and financial performance. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the market and gas station while upholding our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage all day-to-day operations of Karl's Country Market and gas station, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Oversee sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and achieve targets. Maintain high standards of customer service excellence, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains a top priority. Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to optimize product availability and minimize wastage. Supervise and mentor staff members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a positive work environment. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and prepare regular reports to assess profitability and identify areas for improvement. Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Ensures compliance with all food safety requirements and enforces a strong food safety program with associated audits and documentation. Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategic plans and initiatives for business growth and expansion. Requires: Proven experience in a managerial role within the retail or grocery industry, preferably in a similar market and gas station setting. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach. Solid understanding of sales and marketing principles, inventory management, and financial analysis. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with POS systems. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but not required). Must be able to obtain a WI server license, Class B UST Operators Permit, ServSafe or similar Karl's Country Market is now proudly employee-owned!
