The successful candidate will apply computational methods to real-world patient data, comprising genomic, transcriptomic, histopathological, and/or clinical data, to improve our understanding of kidney cancer and advance the application of precision medicine to improve patient outcomes. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative computational biology group, and develop independent research projects tackling challenging problems in genomic-guided medicine.Tempus, in partnership with the Kidney Cancer Association (KCA), created the KCA Postdoctoral Fellowship to encourage and further the careers of postdoctoral fellows who are conducting cutting-edge clinical and genomic cancer research. Embedded within Tempus as an onsite researcher, the postdoctoral fellow will have direct access to over 200k de-identified samples with genomic and clinical data, a large organoid repository with genomic and pharmacological screening data, a huge computational environment, and mentorship and collaboration from clinicians, molecular biologists, and data scientists.
