Scope and Job Specifics: The KAM (Key Account Manager) role will be responsible for the overall business stewardship in their assigned geography. Focus on Valneva's overall US sales performance with primary focus on achieving sales objectives for Valneva's commercialized vaccine(s), with a particular emphasis on the US Private market
Achieve all territory business sales objectives Create and execute territory and key account plans to achieve goals and objectives for continued growth (e.g. sales calls, education, regular meetings, visiting key customers) Implement Account selling principle and collaborate with customers and provide tactical/strategic input to support their local business efforts – leading to increased vaccination rates among appropriate travellers In collaboration with the appropriate Valneva stakeholders and CSO partners (Syneos and Remedy) develop relationships with/manage stakeholders responsible for influencing uptake and reimbursement for the JE vaccine - leading to increasing vaccination rates among appropriate travellers Manage key account relationships and track performance: monitor and critically review implementation of tactical plans against key performance indicators/critical success factors and take corrective action as required in agreement with the VP Commercial Operations. Represent Valneva at Travel Health conferences/meetings with goal of providing necessary product and disease relevant information. Compliantly collaborate with Medical Affairs team to address market and customer needs and organize corresponding educational events (in-person/online). Maximize the value and recognition of Valneva products through communication of product-related information to relevant external health care providers, current and future opinion and educational leaders, policy-makers/payers and thought leaders. Maintain accurate customer records and complete administration in a timely manner in compliance with company standards Conduct all territory responsibility in a complaint manner and In-line with Valneva values and Code of Ethics Experience and core competencies: Undergraduate degree required in Health Sciences or Business Administration preferable 5 to 10 years of vaccine sales (preferred) or Health System & Large Account Selling Business & Market Acumen & Strong Record of Achievement Sales Acumen & Customer Engagement Strategic Account Planning/ Segmentation and Targeting Problem Solving & Account Life Cycle Management Entrepreneurial, pro-active, organized and work with sense of urgency Ability to collaborate effectively with various groups and commitment to teamwork while also able to operate independently Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly translate and communicate issues that affect business opportunities Superior interpersonal skills Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks Operate with high Ethical Standards Skilled in Microsoft Office work platform
