Responsibilities
• Teaching 24 semester hours per academic year• Growing in Reformed Christian commitment• Pursuing an active scholarly agenda• Teaching effectively• Serving the university, department, students, and wider community• Maintaining scientific rigor in teaching Exercise Science and Pre-Professional courses• Teaching a broad spectrum of undergraduate exercise science courses• Serving on department, school, and university committees
Requirements
• Hold a PhD in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or a related field• Demonstrate excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and master's levels• Have an active stream of relevant research and publication• Experience teaching using a variety of methods and instructional technology• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion• Ability to integrate questions of meaning, significance, and ethics into course content• Deep commitment to engaging students beyond the classroom• Affirm commitment to the educational mission of Calvin University as a Christian liberal arts university in the Reformed tradition• Dedicated to integration of Christian faith with the field of study
