Kitchen Cook Overview
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers.
Responsible for the preparing of food to corporate specifications to promote optimal opportunity for sales.
Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with corporate and state regulations.
Responsibilities Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
Responsible for sampling and suggestive selling.
End each customer transaction with a "Thank You".
Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation at all times.
Cook and finish food within company standards.
Ensure accuracy of customer special order.
Merchandise all food products within company guidelines.
Adhere to all corporate, State and Federal rules and regulations.
Adhere to corporate uniform policy.
Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Maintain Cold case logs, Hot food logs and Cooling logs consistent with store policy.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Efficiently deal with customer complaints in a professional manner.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a food handling permit.
Preferred Qualifications Strong communication skills.
Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.
Physical Requirements Frequent bending, reaching, standing and walking.
Occasional exposure to cool temperatures.
Repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms and shoulders.
Occasionally carry and lift from floor to waist of up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally lift from floor to over head of up to 20 pounds.
Occasionally able to push and pull up to 20 pounds.
Ability to work in a store/kitchen environment.
