*QUALIFICATIONS: *Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
A Labor and Delivery Nurse plays a crucial role in guiding new mothers through the challenges of contractions and labor.
Monitoring during labor, these nurses closely monitor both the baby and the mother, keeping an eye out for any potential complications.
Medication Administration when it is necessary, they administer medications to manage pain and assist with the actual delivery process.
Labor and delivery nurses provide emotional support to mothers, helping them cope with the physical and emotional demands of childbirth.
After birth, they continue caring for the mother, ensuring her well-being and addressing any immediate needs.
These nurses also educate expectant mothers about delivery techniques, what to expect during labor, and pain management strategies.
Overall, their role involves assisting, caring for, and advising women before, during, and after childbirth.




*EDUCATION: *Must complete an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program and licensed as a Registered Nurse accepted by Texas State Board of Nursing.
Current and active Texas State RN License, CPR, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification required or will received upon hire.




*TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: *One-year experience in nursing preferred.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.




*DUTY HOURS: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am * including alternating weekends and Holidays




Job Type: Contract




Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
