Responsibilities
• Obtain and handle lab specimens such as blood and urine• Prepare specimens for transport and assist in clerical processing• Read and perform waived testing• Operate phlebotomy equipment and use hospital information system• Contribute to problem solving, excellence, and safety in patient care
Requirements
• Completion of approved medical assistant program and phlebotomy certification• High school diploma or equivalent• 2-4 years of healthcare experience preferred• Proficiency in medical terminology preferred• Excellent customer service skills• BLS Certification required• Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols• Familiarity with medical software and hospital information system
Key Skills Needed
