Position Summary: The Lab Courier is responsible for the timely pickup, transfer, and delivery of medical specimens and records between laboratories, practice offices, and clinics.
Essential Functions: To perform effectively in this role, the candidate must fulfill the following duties with or without reasonable accommodations:
Operate a company vehicle during the shift across various roads and weather conditions.Safely transport laboratory specimens, medical records, pharmacy items, interoffice mail, and other related materials in a timely and efficient manner.Exhibit safe and courteous driving practices.Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, ensuring positive interactions with patients, vendors, employees, and the public.Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure the company vehicle remains clean, organized, and well-maintained.Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.Perform additional duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.This role requires a proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment.
