Job Description
This opportunity is onsite and located at: 6360 FM 523 Freeport, TX 77541
Schedule: 4 days on/ 4 days off: 12-hr shifts rotating days & nights
Responsibilities
Run gas and liquid standards at the frequency of the recommended schedule
Perform analyses as specified by method protocol
Compare sample runs to historical data to identify problem samples
Perform basic troubleshooting of instrumentation
Prepare data for written reporting
Perform initial data interpretation to verify data is accurate and reasonable
Calibrate and program instrumentation as needed
Perform analyses as specified by method protocol
Perform analytical calculations

Properly dispose of samples and waste as required by protocol
Track stock of consumable supplies

Non department specific duties include:
Prepare data and reports for review by senior personnel as needed
Maintain neat and accurate records
Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards.
Attain a working knowledge of chemistry and industry terminology.
Maintain strict compliance with company/Client Safety and Ethics Policies.
Learn Standard Operating Procedures in addition to methods and procedures as required for daily operations of position.
Perform routine maintenance for all equipment used including PC, scanners, instrumentation, parts, fittings, and sample cylinders.
Communicate effectively - both verbally and in writing.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be familiar with general laboratory practices
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma
The pay range for this position is $23.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
