Actalent is Hiring a Lab Tech (Lisbon, IL) Description When they arrive at work they will first check in with the shift lead. The lead will convey the number of samples needed to run that day as a shift. The employees then allocate the tests to each of the employees to complete for that day, and will work with about 5 people on each shift There is steady work throughout the day and if you complete your assigned tests for the day early, you are expected to help another technician or grab a rag and start wiping down the counters. Typical Tests Run During Their Shift Wet chemistry peroxide value free fatty acids PH testing viscosity titrations GC (gas chromatography) NMR sample prep Follow a basic recipe Skills chemistry, BS Chemistry, wet chemistry, titrations, sample prep, GC, oils, biology, biochemistry Must Haves Additional Skills & Qualifications: BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Physics
Hands on Lab experience from coursework, undergrad research, or internship.do not have a preference either way since they will train on all processes and instruments there.
