Client Overview:
Our client, an international chemical company is seeking Lab Technicians to join the team.
They operate worldwide with leading innovations, brands, and technologies in three business areas: Adhesive Technologies, Beauty Care, and Laundry & Home Care.
They are looking forward to expanding their team and having new Lab Technicians join and grow.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$21/hr - $23.50/hr
Position Overview:
The Lab Technicians will prepare, run, and analyze consumer goods performance and conduct stability testing.
This is a long-term temporary role that involves carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies.
The Lab Technicians will support Senior Scientists and is a great learning opportunity to build upon current skills.
Responsibilities of the Lab Technicians: Assisting the Senior Scientist in sample prep, running of tests, and clean up and management of the lab.
Calibrating and testing using a variety of analytical instrumentation including GC, ICP, and FTIR Wet chemistry work including titrations, dilutions, and extractions.
Troubleshooting equipment when necessary.
Identifying trends and patterns in the analytical data.
Helping with inventory, data entry, and lab organization.
Entering data using a variety of systems like Excel and LIMS.
Preparing basic reports.
Qualifications for the Lab Technicians: Experience with GC, ICP, IC, SEM, FTIR, or related equipment in a professional setting.
Experience from academia may also be accepted if the candidate has a strong knowledge base.
Experience with pH meters is needed.
Strong wet chemistry techniques including filtration, dilution, extraction, and titration.
Strong attention to detail and great interpersonal skills.
A positive attitude and a passion for Chemistry!
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field is required.
