Job Title: IR Technologist/Cath lab Duration : 1 months (With Extension) Location: Victorville, CA Shift Timing: 07:00 am - 05 :30 pm (10 hours shift) Guarantee hours : 40 hrs/week with on-call duty one day per week and one weekend per month Responsibilities: Assist the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist) under general direction by scrubbing procedures and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab. Hold certification to operate fluoro/pan with Fluoro CA license addendum. Ensure adequate preparation of the procedure room. Monitor and maintain par level of all instruments and supplies; restock as necessary. Participate in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training of new staff. Aid in both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Prepare power injector and contrast medium, inject contrast during procedures, and monitor injector rates and quantity of contrast administered. Demonstrate detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment. Possess thorough understanding of x-ray principles related to cardiovascular procedures, cine angiography, and fluoroscopy. Complete assigned data entry, including patient charges. Assist colleagues in providing continuous quality patient care as directed by the Charge Nurse and/or Director.
