Labor & Delivery - Registered Nurse

L&D Registered Nurse (RN) Status/FTE: TPD / 0.2 FTE Shift length: 12 hours Start Time: 1900 Unit: Labor & Delivery Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Minimum of 12 shifts per 12 weeks or 3-month evaluation period. Including Two (2) weekend shifts (may be non-consecutive) per three (3) month evaluation period. Also, wo (2) holidays per year to include one (1) winter and one (1) summer holiday.   Required qualifications: Current state RN license Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire ACLS and NRP are required within six (6) months of hire One (1) year of recent Labor & Delivery experience Preferred qualifications: BSN preferred Three to Five (3 to 5) years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience RNC-OB and/or RNC-EFM Certification AWHONN FHM and STABLE within the first year Hiring Manager and contact information: Pamela Pearson,   ****** Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
