Key Responsibilities: Handle a variety of employment litigation matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage & hour disputes.
Draft and respond to discovery requests, prepare initial pleadings, and handle motions.
Take and defend depositions, as well as assist in trial preparation and representation.
Provide advice and counsel to management-side clients on labor and employment law matters.
Engage directly with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Admitted to practice law in Texas. 2 to 7 years of experience in employment law, preferably with a focus on management-side representation.
Prior litigation experience, including handling pleadings, motions, and depositions.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills: Experience providing employment advice and counseling to clients.
In-house legal experience in employment law is a plus.
