Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Full-time: Benefit Eligible
In this role, you will:
* Accurately accession patient specimens into the laboratory information system
* Provide support for pathologists, histology technicians, and gross technicians in the dermatology pathology lab
* Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on instruments and stain lines
* Correlate H&E and IHC slides for scanning and distribution
* Embed processed tissue specimens in paraffin blocks
* Prepare chemical and biological waste for removal
* File, retrieve and scan pathology materials for send out studies and specialized testing
* Answer phones and serve as a resource for clients and patients
All you need is:
* High School Diploma, minimum
* One year of laboratory training or experience is preferred, or qualified to receive on the job training
* Strong reading, writing, communication, multitasking, time management, and analytical skills
* Ability to operate general laboratory and office equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated slide scanning and staining systems, microscopes, and audible alarms
