Addison Group is working with a manufacturing company in search for a Media Lab Technician to join their team! Please note this role is contact to hire, 5 days onsite, 6am-3pm M-F, in Irwin PA - Apply below to be considered! Our global manufacturing client is looking to add a Lab Tech to their media department who would be responsible for Polymer Quality Assurance testing on finished products and raw materials, including analytical measurements, data gathering and maintaining laboratory notebook with detailed data recording. The candidate would also assist in efforts to improve departmental plant efficiency, product quality as well as the development and implementation of operation improvements, focusing on quality and safety. Responsibilities: - Perform Polymer Quality Assurance testing on finished products and raw materials, including analytical measurements, data gathering and maintaining laboratory notebook with detailed data recording. Utilizing a rheometer and viscometer to measure liquid flows and the viscosity of fluids. - Provide support for in-house investigation of customer complaints and issues, supported by laboratory analysis and reporting. - Assist Quality Assurance in product specification design, analytical methods and/or process development and improvements. - Perform departmental product quality assurance to ensure product is according to standards. - Work with Chemical Engineer to provide departmental research and development. - Support other functions to meet external and internal due dates. Knowledge and Experience: - Experience in chemical or polymer plant/production with an emphasis on new product development preferred. - Familiarity with chemical process equipment, process controls, and statistical process control techniques. - Knowledge of ISO procedures and OSHA guidelines. - Products and applications knowledge in Aerospace, Diesel Fuel Systems, Dies and Molds, and Semiconductor Industries. - Ability to develop and implement business objectives in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. - Ability to demonstrate values of leadership, innovation, sense of urgency and customer commitment. - Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, with good time-management skills. - Team player with a goal-oriented personality. - Strong problem solving and decision making ability. - Able to follow through on commitments made to customers and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment - Able to generate innovative "out-of-the-box" ideas and execute
