Full job description Sylvan, Inc. is a market-leading, trusted automotive services contractor to Fortune 500 companies.
The Shop Laborer will be responsible for executing all tasks of assigned projects to assure the highest level of accuracy and quality while reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for assisting the Manufacturing Operations Manager and the Shipping and Receiving Clerk with keeping the shop clean and organized.
Job Responsibilities Sorting inventory. Organizing tools. Preparing weldments for painting. Stocking shelves. Load and unload trucks. Clean up after a project task that has been completed. Grind and polish material. Make local runs to vendors in the company truck. Pull and Package parts for shipping. Follow all Sylvan/OSHA safety requirements while executing tasks. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Experience Proficient at inputting data using MS Office, Excel, Word, etc.. Strong math skills. Detail orientated. Hi-Lo experience is a plus. Overhead Crane and rigging experience. Ability to operate large fork trucks and electric stand up. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive "can-do" attitude. Possess excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
