Overview:
This position is responsible for providing support in acquisition of TxDOT ROW and/or other governmental entities, condemnation (including hearing coordination), and relocation (residential and business).

Responsibilities:
Provide support in the following areas: Acquisition of TxDOT ROW and/or other governmental entities Condemnation, including hearing coordination Relocation (Residential and Business) Analyze parcels and ROW maps to evaluate potential conflicts Perform technical and administrative work as applicable Negotiation for acquisition of real property to achieve closing and meet letting schedule requirements Conduct County record searches for property information Ability to review title and clear possible curative issues May coordinate right-of-way and utility issues for clients - generally related to construction project Be familiar with federal, state and industry laws and regulations such as FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, FERC and Uniform Relocation Act Perform activities to support Real Property Projects such as property assessments, risk analysis, acquisition of needed rights, occupant relocation, property management, construction coordination and utility relocation/coordination Ensure schedule and budget performance, while complying with federal, state, and local laws and regulations as well as client's policies and procedures Deliver documents and materials within project area as needed/daily.
Works in office managing/preparing files and documents as well as in the field meeting with property owners.
Prepares reports and recommendations as directed by project manager and/or program manager.
Reports to, seeks advice and coordinates with supervisor, project manager and/or program manager.
Maintains complete and accurate files, as appropriate, pursuant to project specific requirements.
Works efficiently to maximize productivity, quality, and service.
Responsible for completing assignments within allotted time, and to report exceptions to manager.
Light travel may be necessary (1-3 overnight stays) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree preferred or minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar or like field Texas Real Estate license required Valid Drivers License and proof of auto insurance are required Experience with Texas Department of Transportation right-of-way projects with proficiency in negotiation, relocation, and eminent domain coordination processes in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Act or specific state laws Knowledge of TxDOT policy and procedures Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite, i.e.
Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Must be able to lift small boxes up to 25 pounds Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish (conversational minimum) IRWA Certifications preferred (SR/WA, R/W-NAC, R/W-RAC, RWP, etc.)
