Terrestris, LLC is now hiring Lane Controllers to participate in National Guard training exercises across West Virginia. Exercises are 13 days in length in mid-July 2024 and will include weekdays and weekends. These roles are essential for creating realistic, scenario-based training exercises to prepare our forces for diverse operational environments. The selected individuals will coordinate effective lane training for our role players. Lane Controllers may be required for up to 12 hours per day, to participate in either day training events or night training events, as determined by the Master Scenario Event List. The Lane Controller is responsible for safety of all personnel assigned to the lane, shall adhere to and enforce Terrestris and DoD policy and requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the readiness and effectiveness of our military personnel.
Duties
The Lane Controller shall ensure that all personnel are briefed prior to the lane "going hot", shall ensure all props and atmospheric elements are always maintained/issued and accounted for, and shall provide equipment safety and handling instruction to all personnel assigned. The Lane Controller is part of the scenario/exercise team and will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on training lanes safety, coordinating overall mission lane support for the instructors/customer(s) prior to the scenario/exercise. The Lane Controller will report capabilities assessments and/or subsequent exercise/evaluation/training scenario requirements and provide input to the Mission Manager for all After Action Reviews (AAR) comments/concerns/safety/shortfalls. The Lane Controller shall provide exercise/evaluation/training scenario assessments and daily reviews, identifying critical capabilities/capacities through use of mission/drill goals and scenario tasks set out by the instructors/customer and training staff via post-scenario critique sheets.
Requirements
• Must not have an existing condition that requires special needs or medical assistance.
• Must be capable of unassisted walking over rugged terrain for distances up to one-half mile at a time.
• Must be capable of standing, sitting, or lying on uneven and dirty surfaces that may be very cool or very warm for an extended period.
• Willingness and ability to follow all coordinating instructions for the execution of roles assigned.
• Must be SOF qualified in weapons and tactics, Rules of force, less-than-lethal tactics, small unit leadership, Intelligence and operations.
• Must be capable of executing unit provided scenarios designed for maximum participants through scripted scenarios'/exercises of varying length within simulated military settings.
• Must be prepared to conduct daily planning and safety briefings and hot washes.
• This exercise is a dynamic exercise and meeting schedules may change based on RP and training audience interactions.
• Personnel identified as Lane Controllers shall be experienced US Army Special Forces Officers, Warrant Officers, and Noncommissioned Officers.
• Must be able to manage teams of up to 25 personnel.
• Must be willing and able to work non-standard hours.
