Job Summary We are looking for individual to join our client's team as Language Access Coordinator. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Language Access, the Language Access Coordinator will manage and monitor services and programs to support meaningful access through the provision of trainings, awareness, and communication assistance services for limited-English proficient and disabled persons under the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ODEI). The individual will work closely with facility staff, contracted vendors, accounts payable, and Revenue Cycle to help implement new interpretation services, review interpretation invoices for accuracy, implement and track Medicaid reimbursements and language assessment procedures, and a variety of other projects in order to support meaningful access through the provision of trainings, assessments, and communication services for limited English proficient patients and persons with a disability.
Job Description The position will report to the HR Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and be responsible for the following duties:
Review accuracy and charges on vendor invoices in a timely manner for payment throughout Company. Manage email and phone communications addressing language access needs. Assist with scheduling and coordination of trainings and meetings with relevant stakeholders. Assist in the creation and implementation of a multilingual staff system. Support in the implementation of updated legal requirements for language services across the System. Support the planning and execution of community awareness and staff events. Support with logistical coordination of events (e.g. event set-up, signage, etc.). Assist in the implementation of vendors and new interpretation contracts for facilities across the System. Meet with contracted language service vendors, staff, and other relevant stakeholders to discuss specific language services and needs that will improve the delivery of services. Assist in the creating of the upcoming RFP for written translation services. Compile, analyze, and report data that can be applied to the development and execution of policies and practices that ensure the system provides timely and effective language access services. Lead trainings on culturally responsible language access services to staff. Process written translation requests submitted to ODEI from facilities. Review and assist in updating communication methods for patients with disabilities. All other tasks and projects, as assigned. Skills Required Project Management, Microsoft Excel Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and ability to work in a complex environment requiring significant collaboration, including bridge-building with different groups and stakeholders. Detailed oriented with strong project management, planning, and organizational skills. Creative thinking with ability to switch gears easily and work on many assignments simultaneously, with specific attention to detail. Demonstrated experience in data collection and analysis. Experience in language services is preferred Bilingual is a plus Hybrid Experience in language services is preferred Education/Training/Certifications Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university Additional Requirements Shift Time: 09:00 AM - 5:00 PM   Pay Rate $76.00 per hour We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
