Laundry Attendant (Full Time

The Laundry Attendant position washes, dries, and folds sheets, pillowcases, towels, table linen, and spa linen. The work is performed independently. Hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. Responsibilities: Separating, loading and unloading the washing machines. Selecting the proper laundry chemical to be dispensed into the machines dependent on the linen type. Immediately removes linen from washers when cycle is complete and either loads the line into the dryer or places the damp line in the pressing area. Reports any machine deficiencies to the manager on duty. Inspects all linen for stains and imperfections and either treats stain or removes linen that are unacceptable. Dries all linen according to proper temperature settings. Folds all towels and sheets according to property specification. Completes all linen processes including folded and sorted according to property prior to departing for the day. Cleans out dryer lint traps every 6 hours. Sweeps and removes trash in the laundry area daily. Participates in quarterly linen inventory counting. Parking is available Requirements: Previous experience in a hotel laundry Must be able to lift over 50 pounds Must be able to stand for 8 - 12 hours per shift Strong lifting and pulling required loading and unloading 50 lbs. Machines. Bending and lifting from Laundry bins throughout the day. A fast pace is expected. Sharp eyesight to spot imperfections on the linen.
