They are a remote-first company with a critical mass of people who often work out of offices in LA and NYC. The product engineering team is looking for another backend engineer to join their ranks, continuing their disruption of a technologically antiquated industry.
About the team
The Eagle team is responsible for building out data pipelines and ensuring the accuracy of data. This small but mighty team currently consists of 3 engineers and 1 data scientist. They collaborate closely to drive the technology and infrastructure that powers the company's product delivery, always aiming for precision and efficiency in their work.
What will you do?
As the Lead Backend Engineer of the Eagle team, you will be building the platform technology and infrastructure that drives product delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other software engineersTranslating product requirements and technical designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust codeResearching new technologies and methodologies to improve architecture, software components, user experience, and development processesLeading a team of 3-4 engineers and 1 data scientist, taking complete ownership of the features you work on, and ensuring successful product deliveryOverseeing the design and implementation of web scraping solutions, as well as the overall system architecture and infrastructure to ensure scalability and robustness What are we looking for?

Requirements: 5+ years of Python development experience, ideally with Django.
