The Lead Clinician II or III conducts assessments and manages authorizations for Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) and Intensive In Home (IIH) services. The position also assists the Program Manager with the workflow of assigned caseloads by managing and resolving referrals, opening individuals, conducting assessments, obtaining authorizations and subsequent reauthorizations, and performing comprehensive closings. This position also provides clinical services in a variety of settings and, at times, outside of regular office hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide direct services to individuals by providing comprehensive assessments, integrating input from collateral contacts, making referrals, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing appropriate interventions through treatment modalities such as individual, group, family, or couples therapy.Serve as contingency for Same Day Access and Independent Assessment, Certification and Coordination Team (IACCT) assessments.Provide direct services to individuals served in Youth and Family clinical services programs to include outpatient counseling, crisis intervention, TDT, and IIH as needed.Engage in ongoing evaluation of clinical practice and of services rendered to consumers, through annual re-assessments and treatment plan reviews; to provide outcome measures of progress where possible.Comply with all policies and procedures established by Mount Rogers Community Services, DBHDS, DMAS, and other regulatory bodies; keep records up-to-date and adhere to confidentiality of consumer information.Actively participate in meetings such as supervision, clinical staffing, business meetings, and committees as assigned; utilizes these meetings for active problem solving and to enhance a team approach to decision making. Keep mandatory trainings up-to-date.Provide consultation and educational services with agency programs and with other agencies or organizations.Master's degree in a Human Services field required, at a minimum must be license-eligible.
Licensed Mental Health professional preferred.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
