Working independently and/or as part of a team, the incumbent is responsible for providing general cleaning and custodial care and support, performing their duties in their specific assigned work area and in other work areas as needed. Work areas are located within buildings, facilities, structures, classrooms, public areas, patios, entryways and workshops, adjacent areas and/or portions thereof, but are not limited to these areas.Facilities Management and Services (FMS) is a large, multifaceted department consisting of approximately 200 employees working various shifts and providing diverse administrative and operational services campus wide.The essential functions and responsibilities listed in this position description are typical work activities and the general range of work functions performed by Lead Custodians, they are not an all-inclusive or restrictive list of custodial-related work. Facilities Management and Services maintains, operates, and protects the University facilities and environs to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, safe and healthy for the University community, and attractive for University visitors while preserving the University's physical heritage for future generations. We also support appropriate University and student-sponsored events.Required Education and Experience:The knowledge and skills needed to perform duties is typically demonstrated with equivalent to one to two years of related custodial experience and providing on-the-job training and leadership to others.Preferences:Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills: BilingualExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as WebTMALead Custodian training/certificationTime Base:Full-time- 1.0Pay Plan:12/12Work Schedule:Mon-Fri 1:00 pm- 9:30 pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 1:00 pm -11:30 pm. CSU Classification Salary Range:$40,164 - $65,976 per year.
