What you'll do Docusign has recently consolidated our financial systems to the Oracle Cloud ERP, Procurement and Subscription Management suite of applications. We are in the process of scaling our finance applications further and rolling out ERP globally to support Docusign's growth.
As the Lead Finance Applications Engineer you will be responsible for working jointly with the Business Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Applications, Program Management, Docusign Product, Data and Integration teams to provide technology solutions to scale the Projects, Fixed Assets, Record to Report and other finance processes and related systems.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications - Finance Systems.
Responsibility Function as a Lead Finance Applications Engineer and partner with cross-functional teams to model and design business and technology solutions that improve Docusign's Record to Report, Fixed Assets and Projects processes and systemsConduct thorough analysis of business problems, cross-functional project requirements, or new capabilities needed to support the business processesAnalyze existing business processes, application architecture and integration to design, develop and implement appropriate technical solutions to address the business problemPrepare the business and system flows, solution design, functional design and technical design, perform module configurations and documentation, conduct product demos, develop BIP reports, and assist with any data mapping, integration design, error handling, and defining test scenariosAnalyze issues, perform root cause, develop permanent code-fixes, configurations and tuningDesign and develop custom extensions as needed to meet the product gapsPrototype technical solutions to assess feasibility and to determine the most viable productDesign and explore industry best practices to inform solution developmentStay updated on emerging technologies and trends to drive solution designLead the Applications team during Month, Quarter and Year End to ensure all defects are resolved on a timely basis, and to enable the financial close in an accurate, compliant and timely mannerCollaborate with internal, external and compliance and audit teams to ensure all proper controls are in place for the financial systemsBe proactive in identifying recurring issues or "value-add" areas and propose process, data, and/or systematic solutionsNegotiate IT commitments, business benefits, technology options, cost and constraints, and propose alternative solutions to the businessDefine and track key product metrics and use data to make informed product decisionsBuild and maintain product roadmaps and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies in the finance applications space Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring Basic Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field12+ years of progressive industry experience in business analysis, solution design, configurations and end to end implementation of Tier 1 ERP solutionsExperience on Oracle ERP Cloud specifically in one or more of the following Oracle modules: Projects Costing and Billing, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and General LedgerExperience with Record to Report, Project Costing, and Fixed Assets processesExperience with Oracle cloud APIs and developing prototypes using postman or similar toolsExperience with SLA, Workflow, Groovy scripting, BI Publisher, OTBI, FBDI, and other related finance module functionalityExperience with Jira, Confluence and Project Management toolsExperience working in an agile environment and using data to drive product decisionsPreferred Experience supporting Oracle Cloud Applications post Go LiveExcellent organizational and multitasking skillsStrong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross-functional teamsExcellent spoken and written communication skills as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to technical and non-technical audiencesTrack record of building experiences that effectively solve a customer problem and enable them to achieve their business goalsExperience with one or more of the Core Finance Cloud ERP modules such as General Ledger, Intercompany, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Cash Management, and EPM for a global technology organizationUnderstanding or experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other iPaaS technologiesUnderstanding of basic accounting, revenue recognition and financial reporting Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $151,800 - $245,150 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
