Position Overview: As the Lead Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading our NLP engineering efforts and driving innovation in NLP technologies. You'll lead a team of talented engineers in developing and deploying advanced NLP models and algorithms to solve complex language understanding and generation tasks. If you're a seasoned NLP expert with leadership experience and a passion for innovation, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of NLP engineers, setting technical direction, defining best practices, and driving innovation in NLP technologies.Solution Architecture: Design and architect NLP solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.Model Development: Develop and implement advanced NLP models and algorithms to solve complex language understanding and generation tasks.Data Preparation: Collect, preprocess, and annotate textual data for training NLP models, ensuring data quality and relevance.Model Training and Evaluation: Train and evaluate NLP models using appropriate techniques and metrics, optimizing for performance, accuracy, and scalability.Model Deployment: Deploy NLP models into production environments, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and platforms.Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of NLP models and systems, leveraging techniques such as distributed computing and GPU acceleration.Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to deliver end-to-end NLP solutions that meet customer requirements.Research and Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in NLP research and technology, exploring innovative approaches and techniques to enhance NLP solutions.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.7+ years of experience in NLP engineering, with a proven track record of developing and deploying NLP solutions.Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and expertise in NLP libraries and frameworks such as NLTK, spaCy, Transformers, or AllenNLP.Strong understanding of NLP techniques and algorithms, including word embeddings, sequence labeling, text classification, and language generation.Experience with deep learning architectures for NLP tasks, such as recurrent neural networks (RNNs), convolutional neural networks (CNNs), and transformer models.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with a passion for tackling complex NLP challenges.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Join Us: Ready to lead our NLP engineering team and shape the future of AI-driven language technologies?
