Lead Pharmacist (Pharmacist in Charge)

Shift Availability:Open availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required

Who You Are:
As a Lead Pharmacist (Pharmacist in Charge), you will ensure an outstanding patient experience while maximizing revenue goals by conducting patient consults and providing product recommendations, dosing, and consumption methods to patients. You will also be responsible for training dispensary staff including Staff Pharmacist, conducting patient and physician outreach, and ensuring compliance with all inventory, security, and system protocols in the location(s) you oversee.
What You'll Do:
Provide patients with accurate product recommendations, dosing, consumption methods, and product details.
Assist patients with questions, problems, and complaints while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Handle all patient-related issues following company policy.
Promote a positive experience for all patients.
Direct and oversee all patient interactions and provide clinical counseling.
Monitor patient progress and adjust product recommendations and/or dosing based on patient feedback.
Train team members on product knowledge and product details to ensure team members are providing adequate product recommendations to patients based on medical conditions and preferences.
Conduct educational sessions for team members to enhance their understanding of cannabis pharmacology, patient interaction, and compliance protocols.
Organize and lead guest tours, and maintain relationships with physicians, patients, politicians, and professionals in the community that we serve.
Prepare content for all educational materials and presentations.
Develop a deep understanding of cannabis forms, dosing, drug interactions, and side effects.
Understand the efficacy of variance strains, potencies, and methods of delivery.
Remain up to date on changes and innovations in the cannabis space specific to medical consumption and use.
Stay up to date on products, trends, and cannabis industry updates.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and federal and state laws.
Adhere to PII (HIPAA Compliance).
Drive retail sales and patient retention.
Forecasting inventory levels, product intake, and maintaining accurate systems for regulatory reporting and sales analysis.
Maintain all store operational standards.
Ensure appropriate and timely dispensing of patient orders in all appropriate systems including, but not limited to (seed-to-sale, POS, PDMP – Prescription drug monitoring program [if applicable]).
Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and team members.
Open and close store, as needed.
Directly supervise all activity within the facility in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure the location is compliant with state laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, documenting consultations, recommendations, and relevant information. Adhere to privacy and data protection regulations.
What You'll Bring:
You have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) and hold an Active Pharmacy License (licensed pharmacist) in the state in which you're applying.
Strong knowledge of the retail and Pharmacy landscape.
You have experience working in a heavily regulated industry.
You possess strong training skills, ability to train team members.
You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
You have outstanding customer service skills with the ability to respond to guests' concerns in a professional manner.
You have flexibility and availability regarding scheduling and must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Even Better If:
You have previous experience in the cannabis industry.
You possess a general awareness of State cannabis regulations.
You have 1-3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and finger to feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, POS systems, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position has allergen warnings including potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens and requires the ability to work in confined spaces, have a high stress tolerance, adaptability, and be flexible to work in an ever-changing environment.
