The Opportunity: Sephora's Technology Team based out of SFO is at the forefront of innovation in the e-commerce Sector, driving transformation through advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. We are seeking a Lead Quality Engineering to join our Reporting & Analytics team, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data and reporting solutions.
Job Summary: As the Lead Quality Engineering for Reporting & Analytics team, you will lead a team responsible for testing and validating data pipelines, reporting systems, and analytical tools. Your role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and scalability of our reporting and analytics platforms, which provide key insights to our business.
Duties and Responsibilities: Lead QE Efforts: Drive the quality engineering strategy for the Reporting & Analytics team, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and high-quality releases. (30%)Analytical Skills: Ability to understand complex data models, reporting structures, and business requirements to develop effective testing strategies. (20%)Data Validation: Ensure data accuracy and consistency across data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting layers. (15%)Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, cross-functional teams, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure test plans are aligned with business goals. Act as a QE project lead for cross-collaboration projects. (15%)Defect Management: Track, manage, and report on defects, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders. (15%)Reporting & Documentation: Provide clear and comprehensive reports on test outcomes, quality metrics, and areas for improvement, and maintain thorough documentation of test plans and strategies. (5%)Working Conditions: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work in an office environment at least 1 day a week. Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and tools. Ability to support onsite/nearshore/offshore model. Involve in Go-Live support of the production deployments.
The annual base salary range for this position is $153,000.00 - $163,000.00. The actual base salary offered depends on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education attained, certifications, and other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position, as well as the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
