Job Purpose Assign, distribute, and monitor the work of receiving operators. This position will verify procedures and paperwork is completed properly and area is properly maintained and cleaned. Responsible for receiving bulk materials and quality testing of incoming pellets and housekeeping at the port. This includes record keeping for billing purposes, quality testing of pellets and maintaining cleanliness of facility.
Responsibilities Follow all workplace and job safety procedures Coordinate work assignments with team to include work duties and scheduling breaks. Verify completing and accuracy of paperwork Complete housekeeping audit Conduct shift changeover meeting on safety, quality, receiving goals and communicate with leadership as necessary Assist in training of employee in receiving area Receive pellets (bulk materials) into port and record data to ensure accurate billing Operator rail car mover if applicable Collect pellet and test finished goods to maintain QA/AC records Housekeeping includes keeping scales clean and area clean of accumulated dust, keeping area clean of debris, neat and orderly to meet housekeeping standards Operator equipment such (Bobcat and Lull) to move dust collection bags Communicate to Operations team, Suppliers and Quality Lead escalating issues as necessary Other related duties as assigned and serve as back up resources as needed Required Qualifications High School diploma/GED or able to complete GED requirements within six months of hire Ability to work multipole shift schedules and rotating shifts as required Excellent communication skills Ability to independently manage priorities and schedule to meet deadlines. Able to obtain a TWIC Preferred Qualifications - What Will Set Them Apart Previous lead or supervisory experience Experience in Maritime Industry Working Conditions Must be able to work in outdoor environment and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees · Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
· Work includes high places more than 175 feet, use main lifts and work in confined spaces
· Willing and able to maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
· Available to work evenings, weekends, and overnight to address unexpected site issues with or without notice
Physical Requirements · Able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and crawling and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours per day
· Able to work in high places more than 175 feet, use man lifts and work in confined spaces
· Able to work around moving equipment and machinery
· Able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs
· Able to safety and successfully perform and essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
