JOB SUMMARY:
Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of maintenance personnel. Routinely provides feedback to management on personnel issues and performance. Actively supports and implements daily/weekly/monthly planning and scheduling. Ability to multitask and use basic problem solving skills. Pursues training and learning opportunities in Mechanic and Animation/Show Control discipline. Actively promotes, engages in and maintains positive working relationships with other departments and shifts in supporting department activities by performing duties assigned
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and delegates work tasks. Supports, follows and implements TS planning and scheduling for the assigned shift. Delegates work assignments among qualified team members. Communicates performance expectations in an effort to ensure proper completion of tasks; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Manage down time recovery while maintaining composure and keeping the Team Members and guests safe.
Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs; reports or corrects non-compliance. Monitors employee's productivity, work habits. Leads work startup and stoppage, schedules breaks. Monitors care, condition, use and storage of tools, equipment and other UO property daily. Manages material inventory processes. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards, driving policy, radio usage, and other UO policies
Ensures proper completion of documentation, ensuring accurate data entry and standardization daily. Documents Team Members behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to support managerial and supervisory documentation. Provides Team Member performance feedback every 6 months to the supervisor.
Communicates and coordinates with other departments. Communicates resource needs and work plans to supervision.
Performs job duties as described in non-lead job description. Maintains and shares job knowledge, assists in developing employees. Actively participates in learning opportunities in Mechanic and Show Control disciplines, consisting of training classes and hands on training experiences with discipline other than own.
Assists with training new and current employees. Assigns who will provide daily training. Follows up with trainer on employee training status.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Responsible for managing maintenance personnel in the inspection, troubleshooting and repair of animation, special effects, and ride and show control systems resort wide.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED required
EXPERIENCE:
Six months to one year providing work direction required
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
