Job Family : Systems Engineering (Digital) Travel Required : Up to 10% Clearance Required : Ability to Obtain Public Trust What You Will Do : As a Guidehouse Lead - System/Unix Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our client's batch job schedulers, FTP Server connections, connectivity with the file storage (OnBase) and maintenance ensuring they operate smoothly and securely to meet business needs.
What You Will Need : Expert level knowledge of schedulers like Skybot, Airflow, Control-M, Windows scheduler, etc.
Completed and obtained a High School Diploma or GED Minimum of SIX (6) Years of experience Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze technical issues with the scheduler, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions Scheduler Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring new software on servers and workstations as needed Scheduler Monitoring: Actively monitoring scheduler, identifying potential issues, possible network bottlenecks, and security threats, etc.
Scheduler User Account Management: Creating, managing, and maintaining user accounts and permissions to ensure data security and access control Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to scheduler, network connectivity, and user access Security Management: Implementing and enforcing security policies, managing firewalls, etc.
Performance Optimization: Monitoring scheduler performance metrics and implementing optimization strategies to improve efficiency and responsiveness Capacity Planning: Assessing future needs and planning for upgrades or infrastructure changes to accommodate growth as needed Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps What Would Be Nice To Have : Network Administration: Managing network infrastructure, routing, and security Server Administration: Managing server hardware and operating systems Technical Skills: Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, and Linux), networking protocols, scheduler administration tools, scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash), and security best practices Communication Skills: Clear communication with both technical and non-technical users to explain complex issues and provide support Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to configuration and maintenance to prevent errors and security breaches Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and adapt to changing IT environments The annual salary range for this position is $132,600.00-$198,800.00.
