The Lead Therapeutic Drumming Instructor will: 
Assure stable schedule of drumming groups so that all groups get a minimum of two drumming sessions per week. Arrange for coverage when absent, and communicate this to the campus. Supervise other facilitators each week to make sure schedule is maintained. Insure all Therapeutic Drumming groups are being done by staff in TDIT or ATDIT training, or who are already certified Communicate schedule with campus community including schedule, performances, and expectations. Send accurate information on groups attending performances. Communicate with program leaders re: upcoming performances and get approval to prevent scheduling Produce a monthly calendar of drumming activities above and beyond groups, including trainings, performances and all of activities of note. Keep accurate notes on drumming groups (attendance, facilitators present, goals, warm-ups and rhythms taught). Make sure that other facilitators do the same. Maintain active performance group through recruitment, practice (weekly), preparing for performances, and coordinating logistics for trips. Identify, plan and execute performances. (minimum 6 per year) Provide performances for company events as requested  Establish annual development goals including new rhythms, drum building skills, reading assignments and other skill building Be present to assist and support Therapeutic Drumming Manager in monthly TDIT trainings. Organize and supervise ATDIT and TDIT weekly practices. Keep weekly attendance, notes on skills, portfolios up to date, and check on trainees progress. Take active lead role to recruit suitable trainees for both TDIT and ATDIT classes, focusing on programs which have gaps in their facilitator coverage. Be prepared to receive visitors/tours at any time. Space should look neat and inviting, be ready to explain what your program offers to our youth. Actively cultivate the drumming community on campus. Plan and execute a Therapeutic Drumming retreat twice a year to help connect facilitators, solve challenges or barriers to current practices, offer them some new music to use, and to drum together. Attend the annual Drum and Dance camp each year. Lead an information meeting with attendees from your area and set expectations for their participation. Communicate clearly with attendees' supervisors and program directors about getting their approval and making sure that everyone gets registered. Ensure that attendees take the steps to record and take notes on rhythms learned. Make sure that what is learned at Drum and Dance Camp is brought back to the youth at Youth Villages. Prepare the group of staff from your area to perform at camp. Repair and maintain and all drums and accessories. Make sure TDIT and ATDIT keep satellite drums tuned and looking neat. Do re-heads, either alone or with TDIT/ATDIT/Youth assistance. Keep performance outfits clean, in good repair and inventoried. Maintain all equipment assigned to Drumming Program in a timely manner. Conduct detailed inventories of drums and accessories twice a year. Communicate with Bill's Place, Rose Center, Dogwood and Group Homes 30 days before the inventory and let them know that they need to prepare drums and equipment. Have the Drum Tech for each program be present for the inspection and present the drums one at a time. Fill out an Inventory Form with notes on each drum as needed. Maintain written records of each inspection and copy to Manager. Must already have obtained TDIT certification OR be enrolled in the next upcoming TDIT training class.
