Job Description - Lead Ultrasound Tech - Radiology - FT - Days (******** )
Description Receives patients, explains method of procedure, and makes sure patient is comfortable.
Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.
Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound, and keeps patient flow smooth.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
Graduate of an approved course in Ultrasonography.
*US Tech Student - Currently enrolled in an ultrasonography program.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Required Licenses:
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Must be either a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Vascular Technologist or be register eligible. New graduates must take and pass the ARDMS registry within 2 years of hire.
