Leadership Team And Admin Support Team / Counselor

I am excited to begin my 21st year in education and my 7th year as a school counselor at THE Charles Patterson Middle School. Before becoming a counselor, I taught math at both the high school and the middle school levels. I love working with students and their families as they navigate through middle school. A lot of changes happened during these 3 years, with middle schoolers coming in from the elementary world and just a short time later, leaving prepared for high school! Middle school is a huge time of transition, and I'm here to help every step of the way.
I am married with two children. My husband is a teacher and we both love serving our community through Killeen ISD. My daughter will be a 7th grader and my son will be entering high school this year. We have two dogs, Rufus and Oliver, who love barking at loud noises and sleeping as much as they can. I love to craft and bake treats when I have extra time and I also enjoy a good nap on the weekends!
