In this position...
As an integral member of the FPS leadership team, you will be responsible for leading transformation and change efforts within the plants to meet Global Manufacturing Standards. You will have the opportunity to apply your extensive expertise in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing directly into production operations, eliminating waste from the system, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will be responsible for enhancing the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of our employees to achieve manufacturing excellence.
What you'll do...
Will serve as FPS Coach and NA Kaizen Lead supporting NA plants.
Role model the highest level of integrity through demonstration of servant leadership behaviors and Ford OS behaviors of Excellence, Focus and Collaboration.
Raise the bar of excellence in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people objectives by leveraging deep knowledge of the Ford Operating System and Lean Principles, maintaining a 0-0-100 mindset (0 injuries, 0 defects, 100% throughput), and facilitating Kaizen workshops.
Glean insights from key operational metrics to implement continuous improvement initiatives that eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve quality and throughput.
Lead Kaizen Workshops in NA Plants
Coach the plants on Lean Maturity Model and develop gap closure plans to achieve yearly improvement targets
Create a sense of community and culture of belonging for employees across all levels by engaging in daily Gemba walks, collaborative problem-solving, coaching, & visibly celebrating team accomplishments.
Build a robust internal and external network to promote the exchange of new perspectives, ideas, and best practices to improve Ford's competitiveness.
Cultivate a "Leaders as Teachers" mindset to develop team capabilities using Lean Methodologies and tools.
You'll have...
Education: Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or technical field
Experience:4+ years of progressive responsibilities and experience in operations leadership
Extensive experience in high-volume, complex, manufacturing environments
Experience successfully leading kaizen workshop in complex manufacturing systems
Demonstrated track record of building trust and rapport with employees and creating positive and healthy cultures.
Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems
Strong problem solver who can lead effectively under pressure and crisis manage when necessary
Aspiration for continued career growth and new challenges

Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field
Experience:Operational experience leading manufacturing processes across multiple areas (body, paint, final assembly, etc.)
Experience working in a fast-paced unionized manufacturing environment
