Role Overview: The Learning and Development Manager plays a key role in the development and education of our team at The Garrett Companies, and will support the design, development, and implementation of scalable learning strategies that focus on driving business results through the development of people.
This position will work closely with various departments within the organization to identify training opportunities, creatively design effective, scalable methods of training curriculum and initiatives to improve productivity, performance, and retention.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, execute, and manage a curriculum of learning strategies that support talent development and organizational growth.Maintain working knowledge of industry trends to explore new ways to develop programs that align with company values and skills critical to the organization.Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver and maintain high-quality learning programs.Conduct and facilitate training sessions, including but not limited to new hire onboarding, lunch and learns, and experiential learning.Formalize onboarding training plans for individual positions and departments. Work in unison with the HR team as part of the onboarding process.Create and oversee a mentorship program, including workshops, experiential learning, and coaching initiatives.Establish program evaluation and measurement strategies to assess effectiveness of programming, analyze results and generate recommendations for improvement.Manage both internal and external training and development content and resources, including LMS, professional development partnerships, and communications.Champion a culture of continuous learning and development, leverage technology and resources to deliver awareness of learning opportunities within the organization.Pre-Prerequisites (these are the most important): Relentless problem-solving skills.Will never claim the work of others as their own.We are trend setters and standard breakers. Every member of our team is willing to work and support at all levels.Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree in training and development, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or Leadership, Business, or related field.Previous experience working in a Learning and Development role.Proven ability to build, execute, manage, and improve programs and projects.Understanding of various learning concepts and curriculum development.Experience facilitating training sessions or being a certified trainer.Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with leaders and team members at all levels.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong analysis and decision-making skills.Experience presenting and designing content to various audiences and skill-levels.Curious thought leader who remains current on emerging employee development trends.
