This position provides day-to-day office management of work orders for learning technology environment services and Tier I support of technologies within electronic classrooms and other Union facilities, as well as audio-visual (A/V) support for academic classes and special events. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position. On a limited basis, work hours will be arranged to meet needs and may include evenings and weekends.

Supervisor: Manager of Learning Environment & Event Support
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Select, train and supervise student workers on operation and support of A/V equipment and technology use in electronic classrooms and office procedures.Evaluate and adjust student work schedules for office coverage.Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, generating reports, meeting and greeting campus personnel.Maintain inventory and organization of all A/V, computer equipment and peripherals, including a hardware database and asset management.Manage the general maintenance, documentation, and regular inspection of electronic classrooms and other facilities.Work with clients to determine support needs and provide those needs for individual events, classes, etc.Work with the Office of Special Events and Conferences to provide A/V equipment and planning for special events; also work with outside vendors to provide services for campus special events.Coordinate delivery, setup, operation and retrieval of equipment for various locations on campus.Provide Tier I support for campus-wide sound and video projection systems, electronic classrooms, and other facilities; train faculty/staff who need to use facilities; perform basic computer troubleshooting; reinstall operating systems and applications; set up computers in classrooms and labs.Replace lamp modules in projectors; swap out A/V equipment in locations across campus.Assist with training and successful execution of video/web conferences.Digital media management and distribution, including audio and video recording for events and speakers, dubbing, editing, and posting online.Assist with audio and video recording of live events, with knowledge of video editing software applications.Qualifications: AS degree in Applied Sciences or Computer Information Systems is required; BS degree preferred.A minimum of 6 months hands-on experience with audio, video and projection systems; 2+ years preferred.Knowledge of Windows and Apple operating systems; some understanding of networks and printers is desired.Reliable and dependable in performing job-related tasks, finishing assigned tasks, meeting deadlines and appointments.Highly detail-oriented, with a critical degree of accuracy to coordinate, prioritize, and complete multiple time-critical tasks to meet classroom and special event needs.Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and with others.Work effectively in a service-oriented environment with a variety of people and disciplines.Proficiency with A/V and associated equipment (such as Crestron control systems) is desired.Ability to troubleshoot software systems to identify and resolve problems, restore service, and assure system integrity.Ability to install computer hardware and run diagnostic programs; document service repairs and train staff as needed; troubleshoot and resolve urgent technical issues, and respond to help requests; analyze, prioritize, and escalate complex issues to a higher-level position.Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.Compensation: The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
