The Department The Department of Theatre Arts & Dance provides students with rigorous coursework and opportunities for collaboration in live performance. We are committed to recruiting outstanding faculty from traditionally underrepresented groups and value candidates who demonstrate inclusive pedagogy.
Responsibilities The successful candidate may teach courses in areas including African Dance Forms, Ballet, Contemporary Dance Forms, Hip Hop Dance Forms, and more. Responsibilities include:
Designing and teaching classes independentlyGrading students and holding office hoursFulfilling standard SSU teaching dutiesProfessional Qualifications Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Dance or Theatre Arts, or appropriate professional experience in Dance. An MFA in Dance is desirable, along with 2-3 years of undergraduate teaching experience.
Rank and Salary Salary is commensurate with degree level and experience, with an anticipated hiring salary range of $4,530 - $6,056 per full-time month.
