Job Description Summary
The Lecturer, in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, will apply excellent verbal and written communication skills to teach undergraduate and graduate courses equal to 11 to 12 credit hours per semester. The successful candidate will prepare, evaluate, and grade student assignments and exams; hold regular office hours; implement inquiry, project, and technology based active learning into teaching; and coordinate business calculus sections including preparation of the common course syllabus, grading schemes, and training GTAs. In addition, candidates are expected to contribute through service to the department, college, and university.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a cover letter detailing teaching experience, a statement of teaching philosophy, a representative sample of recent teaching evaluations, and the names and contact information of at least three professional references. Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in Mathematics or Statistics. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States at the time appointment and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
