Primary Purpose of the Position: Fayetteville State University College of Business and Economics is seeking an individual with a passion for teaching economics and business statistics to join a dynamic faculty team. This is a full-time, 9 month, non-tenure track position beginning Spring 2024. The person hired will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in economics and statistics in the Broadwell College of Business and Economics. The successful candidate will be expected to: • Teach classes in economics, business statistics and related fields (depending on the qualifications of the person hired), with a 4/4 teaching load. • Serve as academic mentor for undergraduate students, guiding their professional development as well as their academic progression. • Assist with university and community service consistent with the mission of Fayetteville State University. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:: Master's degree in economics or related field from an AACSB accredited school. and at least two to three years teaching experience. Knowledge skills and abilities:: The successful candidate should be a skilled and dedicated teacher with student-oriented teaching philosophy who is willing to develop real world experiential environments for students to learn. Preferred Qualifications:: Willingness to teach a variety of economics and statistics courses, and a record of successful teaching experience.
