Trustpoint is proud to partner with a respected business law firm in their search for a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant, on a direct hire basis, to support the firm's business and commercial litigation matters, in their Dallas, TX office.
Successful candidates will have 3+ years' experience in litigation at a law firm, previous commercial litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities:
Prepare correspondence and legal documents, including editing and formatting appellate briefsAssist attorneys with meetings, hearings and trials, including preparing notebooksScheduling, calendaring and organizing filesAssist with client billing and prepare expense reportsDraft pleadings and discovery shellsApply critical thinking skills to support a team-oriented environmentRequirements:
3+ years' experience in a similar role within litigation; commercial litigation (preferred)Knowledge of rules of civil procedure; experience with e-Filing in state and federal courts in TexasCapable of 80+ wpm and excellent computer/software skillsAble to work effectively both individually and as part of a team; maintaining efficiency in a deadline-driven environmentExceptional organization, time management and communication skills, both verbal and written, utilizing excellent spelling and proofreading skillsStrong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and AcrobatWorking knowledge of TOC's and TOA'sExperience working with a document management system ( i.e.
