Full job description Our Kankakee-based law firm, Deck & Baron, is accepting resumes for the position of full-time Legal Assistant. Responsibilities include assistance with preparation of legal documents, correspondence, and court filings, as well as administrative tasks such as billing, filing, scheduling, and answering phones.
Candidates must possess excellent verbal, written, and client service skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to work with emerging legal technology and software. Prior experience in a legal setting is preferred, particularly in areas of real estate, business formation and transactions, estate planning and administration, adoption, and/or civil litigation.
