Legal Assistant

We are looking for a legal assistant to join our team at Bodell Bove, LLC in Oak Brook, Illinois. We are a civil defense law firm and the position involves working directly with a team of 5 attorneys and two paralegals. This position allows working from home up to two days a week, if desired. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of our team and effective case organization. The candidate will work closely with all attorneys and paralegals on the team. It is preferred the candidate have a few years of prior experience at a litigation law firm.   Responsibilities Provide administrative support to lawyers Handle communication with clients, attorneys and others Filing materials with e-filing court systems Ensuring filed materials get to the court and opposing counsel Oversee and manager team calendar with depositions, etc. Deposition scheduling Being very organized Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience as legal assistance General familiarity with law, legal procedures, protocols Pay Range - the pay will greatly depend on the experience and background of applicant
