JOB SUMMARY
Medline is seeking a legal counsel to perform a variety of legal services regarding regulatory matters for Medline's business.
This lawyer will serve as the primary legal partner to Medline commercial and functional leaders regarding applicable regulatory requirements concerning device distribution and licensed operations within Medline's overall business.
This is a hybrid role based out of our headquarters in Northfield, IL.
Hybrid schedule is Tuesday-Thursday in office.
Job Description MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advise on regulatory matters pertaining to the distribution of medical supplies and the licensed operations.
- Identify and advise on federal, state, and local licensure and enrollment requirements.
- Assess implications of proposed strategic transactions and operational changes.
- Advocate for the Company with state regulatory boards and state and federal health care programs.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education
- Juris Doctor degree.
Certification / Licensure
- Member of a state bar in good standing.
Work Experience
- 4 or more years of post-law school experience at a law firm or corporation.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently identify practical legal solutions to complex challenges.
- Possess the skills to effectively collaborate with others and build knowledge of business and key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to reimbursement, licensing and certification, and compliance
