Description Reporting to the General Counsel, this individual will provide oversight of ongoing and potential litigation and investigation matters.
This individual will also support our pipeline and business development teams by advising on potential patent litigation outcomes.
Note: the individual selected for this role can be located anywhere in the US, with strong preference given to candidates in the Grand Rapids, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota locations.
Candidates residing in those areas will be eligible for a hybrid workplace model requiring three (3) days per week in the office. Job duties: With oversight of the General Counsel
manage Hatch-Waxman litigation docket manage day-to-day activities of all ongoing and potential litigations and investigations respond to any third-party subpoena requests received by the company Provide support to the General Counsel to advise the Board of Directors and its Committees with respect to risk assessment due to ongoing and potential litigations and investigations Monitor and analyze legal developments impacting the company's interests Handle other project-based work within the legal department on an as-needed basis Required qualifications: Law degree (JD) from an accredited law school Active law license enabling in-house practice in Michigan, either current or attainable upon hiring through state reciprocity 3-5 years of sophisticated in-house or law firm experience focusing on patent litigations Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to operate effectively within a team and prioritize competing needs Sound business judgment and client counseling experience Preferred qualifications: Experience specific to Hatch-Waxman litigation Key competencies: Since its beginning, Padagis has been undergoing the process of identifying what we believe will lead to the success of our organization in a competitive landscape.
