The current need is for a Legal Secretary replacement: The role involves supporting a total of 3 attorneys: two partners and one of counsel.

Proficient in word formatting and style for pleadings, basic knowledge of Excel.

Role Details: The secretary will support two partners primarily. This role involves tasks such as proofreading, time entry, and handling general administrative duties like expense reports, e-filing, maintaining attorney contact list, and managing calendar/forecasting the attorney's daily schedule. dditionally, must keep up with bar memberships and rsvp lunches Federal and state court filing knowledge is required, and while paralegals often handle this, the secretary should be comfortable with the process. Work Schedule and Expectations: The role offers a hybrid work schedule: three days in the office and two work-from-home days.
Schedulefor hybrid work alternates weekly and for receptionist lunch coverage. The secretary will need to be flexible, willing to work overtime as needed, especially around end-of-month for time entry deadlines and during trial preparations. No dress code, however, expectation is to be polished. Overtime is expected, 7-hour work day is a PLUS. Experience and Skills Required: Seeking at least 10 years of experience, though 5-6 years with exceptional skills is also considered. Proficiency in Word formatting, basic Excel knowledge, and a proactive, polished, and professional demeanor are crucial. Previous experience at Bankruptcy firm is a significant plus. Compensation: Eligible for yearly raise after 1 full year of employment, must start by Sept 30th to qualify for the prorated bonus in Dec. Interview Process: The interview process will involve separate interviews with the two partners, starting with an in-person interview with Stephanie. Background checks will be conducted and takes 2 weeks to process. Timeline to Hire: nticipates by end of year or sooner.
One of the attorneys are on maternity leave and the firm will be ready to start interviewing in 2 to 3 weeks.
