Level 4 Lead Installer As a Level 4 Lead Installer, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex telecommunications installations in Central Office, Data Center, Substation, and Outside Plant environments. You will lead a team of technicians, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. PLEASE NOTE: Position requires a high degree of travel. We currently have a need for a technician serving the Iowa/Midwest region.
Responsibilities: Install, test, and turn up equipment in the Central Office, Data Center, Substation, and Outside Plant EnvironmentsAdd and/or removal of battery stringsPerform additions, removals, and modifications on working equipment and circuitsAdd and/or remove circuits on working power distribution equipmentInstallation of auxiliary framing and relay racksOnsite analysis of job drawings and specifications to resolve any issues prior to job startPreparation of SMOPs and DMOPs for the projectFunction as the point of contact for support groups such as engineering, material assignment, etc.Review the work assignments and project steps (reference the SMOP/DMOP) before each work shift so that all personnel, including contractors, are aware of their roles and responsibilities during the scheduled work tourCompleting the job log as per company standards, including the personnel and hours worked by each work items completed or in progress and notable site or project issuesComplete DC audits, preventive maintenance, and/or load testing of DC power systems and standby batteries. Additional Responsibilities: Add and/or upgrade software as neededOversee the work assignment, time management, and training and development of all personnel assigned to the jobMaintain a professional orientation, ensuring quality and outstanding customer service Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications installation. Strong technical knowledge of network equipment and protocols. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Leadership and supervisory skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license. OSHA 10 certification (preferred). This role requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong technical background and leadership abilities.
