Our crisis team helps individuals and communities THRIVE, by supporting individuals in crisis.  The THRIVE team works to stabilize crisis, take care of the individuals in crisis by providing help and support where needed. We help individuals to build resilience through interactions and relationships.  We recognize the value each person holds and help to prioritize their needs while being mindful of their experiences.  Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC) in Norman, OK is looking for a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional (licensed or under supervision) to provide short-term crisis response, stabilization, and intervention for individuals experiencing a mental health or chemical dependency crisis as part of the THRIVE team for Cleveland and McClain Counties. The person selected for this position will utilize tele-medicine, telephone, and in person visits to provide assessment, short-term counseling, crisis management, and collaborative crisis planning for solution-focused outcomes and referrals for follow-up services and treatment. This position provides flexibility, including opportunities for non-standard hours that include generous shift differentials for non-standard hours. Job Type/Salary: Full-time position (evening/night positions)Salary: $72,000.00 (plus benefit allowance, on-call pay, and shift differential for after-hours response)FLSA Status: ExemptAdditional Compensation: Along with our great benefits we also offer addition compensation for working outside of normal business hours! Below is the list of shift differential pay that you can use to boost your hourly pay rate. You can also stack your shift differential pay. For example, working nights on the weekends earns you an extra $15.00 an hour! Evening - extra $3.75 hr.Nights – extra $6.00 hr.Weekends – extra $9.00 hr.Holidays – extra $3.00 hr.On-call - $1.00/hr.Minimum Qualifications and Experience:  Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or closely related field; and must be a practitioner with a license to practice in the state issued by one of the following licensure boards: Psychology; Social Work (clinical specialty only); Professional Counselor; Marriage and Family Therapist; Behavioral Practitioner; or Alcohol and Drug Counselor. It was  funded  through  a federal  grant program  that has  resulted  in  similar  facilities  throughout the country. Built on the premise that people suffering from mental illnesses would be better served in the community as opposed to an institution, the center has played a pivotal role in restoring the lives of countless area residents. COCMHC was awarded a CARF Three-Year Accreditation for the following programs: PACT (Program of Assertive Community Treatment), Evaluation and Referral, Adult Outpatient, Team Green PSR (Psychiatric Rehabilitation), Systems of Care and Transitional Services, and Child and Family Services. COCMHC is located in Norman, Oklahoma and employs approximately 95 individuals from Norman and surrounding communities.
