**Description** _Summary:_The IMC Step-DownCardiac Unit is a 36-private bed unit that specializes incardiac care for patients who have had open heart surgery. We seecardiovascularthoracic patients and families that are post CABG, heart caths,valve replacements, thoracotomies, and many other cardiothoracic surgicalprocedures. We also see general medical surgical patients that may have aprimary cardiac diagnosishistory with co-morbidities that may need telemetrymonitoring, as well as those patients needing critical cardiac drips. On ourunit, we train our staff to detect medical issues before they become aproblem, so they can respond to those emergent situations quickly andconfidently. We have many opportunities for assessments, patientfamilyteaching, IVs, wound care, lab value analysis and medication administrationmanagement. Our beds are in high demand, are typically full, and our staff israrely cancelled. We offer flexible scheduling and promote a team environment.We encourage communication and collaboration in an environment that isengaging and rewarding for our health care professionals, as well the patientson our unit. _Requirements:_A. EducationSkillsGraduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.B. Experience1 year of RN experience required.C.
